Keeping Seeds and the Stories They Tell Amirah Mitchell Founder, Sistah Seeds Join us to learn from Amirah Mitchell, a Philadelphia-based farmer and the founder of Sistah Seeds, a small seed-production farm that focuses on seed production of West African, Afro-Caribbean and African American heirloom vegetables and grains. Seed saving, says Amirah, is taking seeds from a plant that you’ve grown and storing them, saving them to plant the following year.
