Kids Nature Hike with Anne Williams

Meet at Houston Meadow Join Anne in sharing the sites, sounds, and feeling of exploring nature in the Wissahickon. This short hike for kids 3-6 years old will include some fun group activities and sharing, guided observations, perhaps a song or story, and the joy of being outside in the fresh air together! Terrain may be rocky so strollers are discouraged and dogs are not permitted. We will keep our time to 60-90 minutes. Distance: 1 Mile Level: Moderate (some inclines and declines, uneven surfaces) Audience: All ages Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed

Look no further than the Schuylkill Center. Come roast s’mores by the campfire, delight in snacks from local food trucks, and grab a seat for an after-dark Halloween-themed movie on the lawn. Space is limited; registration is required. Free for 2 and under Please bring a flashlight and dress for the weather. Meet at the Valley Green Inn Starting from the Valley Green Inn, we will head downstream along Forbidden Drive, talking about the history, geology and wildlife of the Wissahickon. Weathering the Winter

Saturday, February 10th from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm Weathering the Winter Winters were harsh in the 18th century, but even in cold and snowy weather there was still plenty of work to do around the farm. Fires had to be built, food preserved and cooked, and animals needed tending.
