  • Spotlight Tour: Transcending Thresholds

    Explore the built environment and landscape to uncover the lives and labor of those enslaved and in service at Cliveden. The tour will discuss the physical and metaphorical thresholds between people who labored at Cliveden and the Chew family, revealing the history of stratified social relationships that relate to conflicts and tension in American culture today. The tour will take approximately an hour and a half. Tickets can be purchased in advance through our website. $20 - General Admission; $10 - 19119 and 19144 residents, Cliveden and National Trust members.

  • Music in the Parlor

    Stop at Cliveden between 12 pm and 4 pm on Sunday, June 28th to hear New Jersey based historical musicians, The Ministers of Apollo, perform music of the Revolutionary era featuring the harpsichord in Cliveden's parlor. The program is free and open to visitors of all ages. This program is generously supported by The Haley Foundation.

  • Spotlight Tour: Wingohocking Watershed Tour

    Our bus tour of the Wingohocking Watershed, led by Adam Levine, Philadelphia Water Department historical consultant and webmaster of WaterHistoryPHL.org, will give you a view of the underbelly of the city that you might never have thought about before. On the tour you’ll learn all about the city’s hidden infrastructure, including the many creeks like the Wingohocking that were buried in sewers, and learn why some streams still run on the surface today. Weather permitting, we’ll have opportunities to explore parts of the watershed on foot, so please wear appropriate footwear. The tour will begin and end at Cliveden and
