We Are the Seeds is creating space for Native and Non-Native individuals to learn to make and play the Native courting flute, which holds unique historical and cultural significance. In a modern take on this traditional art, participants will make flutes out of PVC pipes. Recently, Senators David Argall (R-Schuylkill County) and Judith Schwank (D-Berks) introduced a co-sponsorship memo announcing that they will introduce a bill to reauthorize the program. We expect that it will introduced in the next month. We want to advocate to Senators to make the program on Roosevelt Blvd permanent and to expand it to the rest of Philadelphia county.
