Volunteers will work alongside Farm staff to support seasonal plantings, harvesting, weeding, invasive species removal, and orchard support. Volunteers will meet at the Sankofa Community Farm at 9:30 AM and be separated into groups and provided with instructions and safety protocols for the day. Out of respect and safety for our staff and others, please arrive on time. PLEASE NOTE: Each adult must register individually in order to complete the waiver. FOR CHILDREN AGES 5-10 PLUS ONE ADULT Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, beetles and even some bats are pollinators! In this workshop, we’ll visit Tyler Arboretum’s Pollinator Preserve to observe pollinators in action. You’ll learn about their lifecycle, why they’re important, and what you can do to help them. Then, we’ll head to the Garden Classroom, where you’ll choose a plant to make your own pollinator feeding station to take home.
