Meeting at Valley Green Inn Start off the New Year in our beautiful park. Join us on the Wissahickon Valley Park trails for exercise and enjoyment of the now open winter views of the park and creek. Meeting and starting at Valley Green Inn, we’ll choose our trail route based on weather and ground conditions. We will check out the new pedestrian bridge along Valley Green Road. The winter is an excellent time for birding, as the Wissahickon is host to many boreal forest species like juncos, sparrows, and spasuckers. If it's too cold, we will stay inside and watch the feeders. We will not hike if it is actively raining. However, join us on the porch to watch the feeders.
