Participants will learn to weave intricate jewelry with seeds harvested from around Philadelphia, including the grounds of Bartram’s Garden, as well as seeds collected from Latin America and the Pacific. The Historical Society of Frankford (HSF) is pleased to host Mural Arts Philadelphia and the Tacony LAB Community Art Center Northeast 250: Threads of History community arts project on Tuesday, March 31 at 6:00 PM at the Society’s library/museum at 1507 Orthodox St, Philadelphia. Undeterred, the creators mounted a comeback—training media makers in Philadelphia, organizing a media coalition, and sparking a fight for media power that continues to this day.
