Introduction to T’ai Chi Chih®: Section A
Enjoy the quiet mornings in the garden with this introductory-level, easy-to-learn set of 20 movements which offer a myriad of benefits including reductions in tension and chronic pain, plus improved balance. Based on the ancient Chinese principles of activation and circulation of energy (chi), T’ai Chi Chih® is an adaptive and enjoyable program that can easily be done by anyone, regardless of age or physical ability. Comfortable clothing is recommended. This program takes place in person at Mt. Cuba Center on Eight Thursdays: 5/2 through 6/27. No class on Thursday 5/9. Enjoy after-hours access to Mt. Cuba’s serene gardens. Increase range of motion, core body strength, and flexibility through the practice of yoga in a lovely setting. Focus on stretching techniques that safely promote proper spinal position, balance, and joint health. No experience is necessary. Bring a yoga mat, and towel, and wear comfortable clothing. (Teen friendly; minors must be accompanied by an enrolled adult.) This program takes place in person at Mt. Cuba Center at 6 PM on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
