Gentle Flow Yoga

Saturday mornings, 9:30 -10:30 am Join instructor Christina Teofilak and experience a slower flow class incorporating simple sequences suitable for beginners and intermediate levels. Poses will be guided with modifications focused on alignment and gentle movements, along with breath. Please bring a yoga mat. All classes will be held on-site in the Barn or outdoors, weather permitting. Your first workout is free with admission to Tyler (non-member admission is $15; feel free to stay for the day after class!). After that, you pay a fee of $15 per in-person class, payable to the instructor at the start of class; multi-class discounts are available

We are inviting the public to share their creative impressions, reflections and encounters on walking borders, limits and perimeters in nature as they are expressed through art. Curated by Jacques-Jean Tiziou of “Walk Around Philadelphia”, our fourth bi-annual community exhibition embraces walking as an artistic practice that reflects on our interconnectedness with nature.

Join Philadelphia Outward Bound School at The Discovery Center (3401 Reservoir Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19146) between 7-8:30pm for a FREE, in-person screening of the documentary Expedition Reclamation. Expedition Reclamation tells the stories of a dozen women of color and how they formed powerful relationships with the outdoors, challenging the definition of who is typically seen as “outdoorsy,” and seeking to build a reciprocal relationship with the land that honors local indigenous cultures and peoples. The film will be followed by a panel discussion with women of color and how they have created a connection with nature right here in Philadelphia.

Since 2016, Walk Around Philadelphia has evolved into a citywide public program that has facilitated the exploration of the city’s furthest (and wildest) reaches for hundreds of Philadelphians ranging in age from 12–94. This exhibit features images from the city’s edge created by artists who’ve set out to explore the city’s margins on foot.
