    In Puerto Rico, you will find a traditional hot sauce, called pique, used on rice, beans, and meat dishes. While most Puerto Ricans use their own recipes for making pique, creating a variation of taste, it is typically made with vinegar, a variety of chili peppers, garlic, and spices, followed by a fermentation period to allow for a more complex flavor to develop.
