Join us at BlackStar Film Festival, an annual celebration of the visual and storytelling traditions of the global majority, showcasing genre-defying films by Black, Brown, and Indigenous people from around the world. The 2025 BlackStar Film Festival will take place July 31 – Aug 3 along Broad St in Philadelphia (Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Wilma Theatre, and the Suzanne Roberts Theatre) as well as online around the world. TCB – The Toni Cade Bambara School of Organizing, directed by Louis Massiah and Monica Henriquez, is a biography of the influential writer Toni Cade Bambara, whose literary works and film collaborations were a catalyzing force in 20th century cultural and political movements.
