Join us for a community wide celebration welcoming the Fall Season! This year, Fall Fest is FREE to enter. Please be aware that many activities may require tickets or a wrist band to participate. Registration and wristband pre-orders are now open! Early registration helps us provide a smoother and shorter check-in process. Wristbands are available at a discounted rate until 10/15, individual tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Fall Bird Walk

In collaboration with Bird Town, PA, Riverbend invites you to our Fall Bird Walk. New for the Fall of 2024: We are offering separate start times for adults and families. Adult Bird Walk (12 and up) : 9:00am - 10:30am Family Bird Walk Led by Suzanne Safran: 10:30am - 11:30am Walk with birder and conservationist Phil Witmer or Riverbend Education Manager Suzanne Safran as they lead families on a leisurely walk around the preserve at Riverbend. Check out the many species of birds that call Riverbend their home! Phil Witmer is an avid birder and conservationist with over 30 years

Owl Howl

Mt Cuba, 3120 Barley Mill Rd, Hockessin, DE, 19707, United States

Many people have heard an owl, but few have ever seen one. Mt. Cuba’s varied landscapes and topography provide the ideal habitats for three of Delaware’s native owl species – the barred, great horned, and Eastern screech – and winter is the best time to spot them roosting in our trees. Owls are nocturnal so join us as we search for them just after dusk. Following a brief introductory lecture, we’ll head into the garden and listen for their unique calls. Dress for the weather. This program takes place in person at Mt. Cuba Center on Wednesday, November 6, 2024
