Hoot n’ holler with music-lovers! The Lyra Society, a pioneering non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural equity through access to harp education, will host an anniversary celebration Wednesday, May 15 from 6-9pm. Performances will include a live bluegrass-classical band featuring musicians from The Philadelphia Orchestra. The event will feature mini harp lessons, games, foods, libations and photo ops.
Bethesda Project, a local non-profit dedicated to providing emergency shelter, housing, and supportive services for individuals experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia, is hosting its 27th Annual Party & Auction on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the iconic Reading Terminal Market from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. The Party & Auction is the organization’s major fundraising event, raising money and awareness for the life-changing programs and services they provide for thousands of Philadelphians experiencing homelessness.
