Plant some seeds to take home and watch them grow. ABOUT LITTLE EXPLORERS: Every first and third Wednesday of the month, March through November, 10-11:30am. Join us for exploration, a garden walk, and stories! Please feel free to bring a snack. Designed for toddlers and preschoolers, ages 2-4. One adult chaperone is required for every two children. For this one-hour outing, we will meet at noon outside of Lloyd Hall public bathrooms located at 1 Boathouse Row, or you can plug this location into your map (39.968953, -75.184904). We hope to encounter early spring migrants like Black-Crowned Night Heron below the dam on the Schuylkill, Pine Warbler singing in the trees and lingering winter waterfowl. Access Features Surface/Terrain: The park surface is composed of paved path, metal boardwalk, loose brick sections and grassy areas. Public Bathrooms and water fountains located at Lloyd Hall. Hiking, stream-stomping and bug-catching are a few of the key ingredients that have made Riverbend's summer camp a sensation since 1982. Riverbend campers aren’t afraid to get a little dirty in our weekly program that runs from mid-June to Labor Day. Our qualified and enthusiastic educators (some who were campers themselves!) guide children in hands-on nature exploration and investigation, games, crafts, hikes and more. Your child’s favorite summer memories await!
