He ultimately survived subzero temperatures, drifting snow, gusting winds, lightning storms, mountainous ascents, dog attacks, crumbling roads, and several accidents. By the end of his travels, he had spotted 618 bird species across 18,000 miles of biking! Cyclists are invited to experience a hassle-free overnight bike camping trip over the Memorial Day weekend on the next Bikeout group ride. The popular event, hosted by the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, promises a weekend of adventure and outdoor fun along Greater Philadelphia’s Circuit Trails network.
