He ultimately survived subzero temperatures, drifting snow, gusting winds, lightning storms, mountainous ascents, dog attacks, crumbling roads, and several accidents. Cyclists are invited to experience a hassle-free overnight bike camping trip over the Memorial Day weekend on the next Bikeout group ride. The popular event, hosted by the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, promises a weekend of adventure and outdoor fun along Greater Philadelphia’s Circuit Trails network. Riders will gather near the Art Museum in downtown Philadelphia and travel approximately 38 miles along the scenic Schuylkill River and the Perkiomen Creek before spending the night at Camp Kweebec and riding back to Center City the following day.
