Interconnected features artwork by members of local women’s arts group, Artessa Alliance, reflecting each artist’s relationship with the more-than-human world. Some works are based on close observation of nature; others are inspired by natural forms and systems. Many incorporate foraged and natural materials. Through a variety of styles and media, Interconnected is a creative meditation on the web of life.

Walking The Edge Exhibit

Walking the Edge is a communal display on the experience of walking in nature. We are inviting the public to share their creative impressions, reflections and encounters on walking borders, limits and perimeters in nature as they are expressed through art. Curated by Jacques-Jean Tiziou of “Walk Around Philadelphia”, our fourth bi-annual community exhibition embraces walking as an artistic practice that reflects on our interconnectedness with nature.

Unquiet Fury Exhibition – Public Open Reception

Join us at The Crane Local Gallery on February 9 from 6 - 9 PM for the Public Reception for the poignant exhibition "Unquiet Fury" From January 28 through March 11, 2023 the InLiquid is pleased to present Unquiet Fury: The Women's Uprising in Iran a solo show by the Iranian American, Nazanin Moghbeli that was made in response to the cultural uprising that began in 2021 and was led by women. Moghbeli’s work abstracts traditional Persian calligraphy and combines it with Farsi poetry and fragments of CIA documents, capturing the undulating course of Iranian culture and national identity.

In this solo feature, the local artist continues her explorations in design and color through acrylic paint and gold ink, with each work reverently housed in hand-picked vintage frames WAX & WANE, a solo feature highlighting debut works by Brian Serway. A collection of 7 mixed media paintings, the series depicts an array of mystic woodland creatures captured in the Tennessee artist’s distinctive and haunting style. Also on view through February
