Day-Off Camp

The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education 8480 Hagys Mill Rd, Philadelphia

When schools are closed, we are open! Keep curious young minds and busy bodies active with the Schuylkill Center Day Off Camp. Trained educators lead students grades K-6 on unique nature-themed explorations that take advantage of our science lab, Discovery Center, and 365 acres of beautiful wooded trails, streams, and ponds. Please bring a packed lunch, water bottle and an extra set of clothes. Wear weather-appropriate clothing that can get dirty. Space is limited to 30 campers. Sign up early to guarantee your spot. Join Trellis for Tomorrow in the greenhouse and learn how to start seedlings!In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, help Trellis for Tomorrow serve our community by seeding trays of future vegetables that will go out to our network of partner gardens in the spring. We'll also work together to complete minor greenhouse improvement projects to start the season strong.Volunteering with Trellis has a direct impact on food security. Join us for a morning of service on Riverbend's preserve.Riverbend is hosting a Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to honor the life and legacy of Dr. King and improve their communities.
