2024 Cliveden Tour Season

Cliveden's tour season begins on May 2nd at 12pm! During this one hour experience, visitors will be guided through the site and exhibit, The Turmoil of Transition: The mid-nineteenth century at Cliveden. Tours are available May to November, Thursdays through Sundays, 12pm to 4pm, beginning on the hour; the last tour of the day is at 3pm. They include the first and second floors of the Main House, the grounds, and the 1767 Kitchen Dependency, as well as navigating stairs and uneven landscapes. Save money and grow your garden through simple propagation techniques using seeds and cuttings. Review the ethics of wild-collected seed and learn the basics of seed biology, germination, and storage. Study the principles of asexual plant reproduction; learn when and how to take cuttings; and practice proper techniques for preparing and rooting them. Take samples home. Bluebird Nesting Box Tour

FOR ALL AGES Explore Tyler’s bluebird boxes! For more than fifty years, volunteers at Tyler Arboretum have been monitoring the nesting activities of the Eastern Bluebird.  Please join us on this family-friendly tour to share this tradition.  We will walk the succession field and check on quite a few bluebird boxes.  We expect to see bluebirds, active nests of bluebirds and other cavity-nesting birds, eggs, and young nestlings!  We will be walking on grassy fields, so bug spray and close-toed shoes are recommended.
