Block Printing Basics with Michelle Gibbs

During this two part class, we will be learning the basics of block printing, such as carving a block, inking and printing.During this two part class, we will be learning the basics of block printing, such as carving a block, inking and printing. We will be using rubber blocks for easier cutting. This is a class for adults and/or mature teens, as we will be using sharp cutting tools. If possible, please prepare a simple drawing or pattern that will fit onto a 4 in by 6 in block. Please dress casual as we will be working with printmaking ink

The Greater Philly Yarn Crawl is organized by the Local Yarn Shops in Greater Philadelphia! The 2024 Greater Philly Yarn Crawl is our first-ever Philadelphia yarn crawl and we are so very excited to welcome you to this fun four-day event taking place March 14-17, 2024 across 16 shops. Early Morning Owl Prowl

For Adults and Teens ages 15-17 We will be hiking out with guide Sarah Boucas Neto to see owls in the Pinetum, as well as some areas inside the deer exclusion fence. We’ll be on the lookout for Great Horned, Screech, and Barred Owls. Less likely but always possible are Saw-whet and Long-eared owls. Listening to owls calling in the starlight is an experience not to be missed. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
