Imagine a Clean Energy Future

Philadelphia Solar Energy Association has launched a contest for students in grades 5 - 12 to Imagine a Clean Energy Future. In order to build a sustainable future, we have to be able to see it. The contest has three categories, and students may enter submissions in 1, 2 or all 3 of the categories: Visual Arts: all visual media accepted: drawings, paintings, collages, etc. Language Arts: 500 words or less essay, poem or other written format Video: 90 seconds or less showing an invention, or other idea to help us build a clean energy future. The Clay Studio presents Figuring Space

The Clay Studio presents Figuring Space, a new exhibition comprised of full-scale, figurative sculptures by 12 leading ceramic artists based in the United States. Each of the artists explores their individual cultural identity and what it means to be human through their figurative sculptures. The powerful figures will serve as a body of evidence to lay bare the issues that permeate American art and social culture. Figuring Space is co-curated by Jennifer Zwilling, Curator and Director of Artistic Programs at The Clay Studio, and Dr. Kelli Morgan, Professor of the Practice and Director of Cultural Studies at Tufts University.

Join us at The Crane Local Gallery on February 9 from 6 - 9 PM for the Public Reception for the poignant exhibition "Unquiet Fury" From January 28 through March 11, 2023 the InLiquid is pleased to present Unquiet Fury: The Women's Uprising in Iran a solo show by the Iranian American, Nazanin Moghbeli that was made in response to the cultural uprising that began in 2021 and was led by women. Moghbeli’s work abstracts traditional Persian calligraphy and combines it with Farsi poetry and fragments of CIA documents, capturing the undulating course of Iranian culture and national identity.
