On view at the Center for Art & Social Engagement in Westby Hall from October 4 through December 21, Gaia Theory, an exhibition of Emily Erb’s collage and silk paintings. Erb embeds within the boundaries of a larger-than-life human form, navigational charts such as road, topography, and war campaign maps to represent the different facets of the human physiological system. Road maps become the nervous system, topographical maps become the circulatory system, and war maps become the lymphatic system. Wreath Making Volunteer Day (Bundles)

Bartram’s Garden Courtyard, Coach House and Barn 5400 Lindbergh Blvd., Philadelphia

Volunteers will assist Bartram’s Garden staff members in creating decorative bundles for holiday wreaths for our upcoming Handmade Holidays event! Funds raised from wreath sales support the Garden and free programming for 9,000 local youth and their families each year. This volunteer event will be outdoors in the courtyard and stable yard and inside the Coach House at Bartram’s Garden (located outside of the Welcome Center). Tents will be provided in case of rain.
