On view at the Center for Art & Social Engagement in Westby Hall from October 4 through December 21, Gaia Theory, an exhibition of Emily Erb’s collage and silk paintings. Erb embeds within the boundaries of a larger-than-life human form, navigational charts such as road, topography, and war campaign maps to represent the different facets of the human physiological system. Road maps become the nervous system, topographical maps become the circulatory system, and war maps become the lymphatic system. Weekend Warm-up Hike: Rocky Run & Indian Rock

TGIF! Start your day off right with a brisk, one-hour hike through Tyler’s gardens and out onto the trails. Each week we’ll explore a different part of the Arboretum and be back in time for a picnic breakfast or whatever else your Friday has in store. The Weekend Warm-up Hike is an introduction to Tyler’s hiking trails and a moderate cardio workout. Routes will cover a mix of asphalt, gravel and natural surfaces.
