Join us to help plant along the Jenkintown Creek that runs behind McKinley Elementary (370 Cedar Rd, Elkins Park, PA 19027) on Sunday, October 20th from 10 am – 1 pm. We will be working to plant a number of trees and shrubs to help reestablish canopy cover along the creek and revitalize the existing riparian buffer on site. Please fill out the form below.
TTF will provide tools and gloves and will have masks, hand sanitizer, water, and snacks for volunteers if needed. We recommend that volunteers wear hats, closed-toe shoes, and comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that can get dirty.
If you have any questions please reach out to [email protected] at 215-744-1853.
This restoration project was made possible by the Trees for Watersheds Grant program, managed by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and local conservation districts, with funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Growing Greener program and Aqua, an Essential Utilities company.
