👣 What You’ll See

Starting with data from the 1838 Pennsylvania Abolition Society Census and expanded through years of original research, this immersive tour guides you through:

  • 💼 The businesses and homes of free Black Philadelphians
  • 🗝️ Hidden stops on the Underground Railroad
  • 📚 True stories of Black-led resistance, education, and civil rights
  • 🏛️ The real Black history behind Independence Hall and the community around James Forten and Robert Purvis

You’ll walk the same streets and hear the stories of the ancestors who built a thriving Black community and demanded freedom, justice, and dignity.
