South Philadelphia Bio Blitz and Nature Crafting!

Please join Cassie Jones, the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, landscape architects from OLIN, and ecologists from Symbiotic Ecological for a BioBlitz and nature craft along the Delaware River on October 12th!
To kick off the next phase of design of an ecologically-focused “Wetland Park” from Pier 70 to Pier 64, the team is looking to crowd-source the identification of as many aquatic and terrestrial plant and animal species as possible within the project area. That’s what a BioBlitz is all about! Where: Meet at Pier 68 (Pier 70 Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19148)
We will be using iNaturalist to log everything that is found during the BioBlitz. Visit the iNaturalist Project page and to download the app.
Printing With Nature: 1-4:30pm- a hands on craft for nature with Cassie Jones of The Craft Coven and the Cherry Street Pier Studios.
Rotating Tours with Plant Identification, and Bird and Insect Identification: 2-4:30pm Please wear close toed shoes for this activity
