Painting the Marvelous Monarch

Allow the vibrancy and charisma of the monarch to inspire your time painting and collaging a work of art with artist, Monica Lopez. Learn paintbrush usage, color mixing, and color application on canvas while finding your unique painting style. Monica will guide you through finding artistic expression with personalized instructions. Open to all levels of experience. All materials will be provided.
This program takes place in-person at Mt. Cuba Center Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
About the Instructor:
I am Monica Lopez. I am a proud Mexican visual artist. Ever since I was little, textures and colors of all sorts were big part of how I viewed life. I drew according to my growth stages. It is truly amazing the things that you can create with your own two hands, having a mind for it, it helps put everything in sync. I have always used my art to help me reflect the person that I am inside, using vibrant colors as well as dark and light ones. It allows me to show case my feelings and emotions. I view so much beauty in art that I use it to express my love for my roots and heritage, allows me to help others explore our rich culture and hopefully make them fall in love with it like I have.
