Nature at Night Series

FOR ADULTS & CHILDREN AGES 5+
Explore the wonders of the natural world during this engaging evening series, perfect for families, curious learners and nature enthusiasts of all ages. Each Nature at Night program highlights a different theme and features expert presenters. Some events include live animal ambassadors from local wildlife organizations, and all offer educational and fun experiences. All classes are held on Wednesdays:
7/9, 6-7 pm:  Nature at Night: Birds of Prey — What makes a bird of prey different from other birds? Join educators from AARK Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center for an up-close look at Pennsylvania’s native raptors.
7/16, 6-7 pm:  Nature at Night: Baby Birds & Nests — What happens when a baby bird falls from its nest? How can you tell if it needs help, or if it’s just learning to fly? Join educators from Tri-State Bird Rescue for a fascinating look into the lives of baby birds and the delicate nests they call home.
7/23, 6-7 pm:  Nature at Night: Reptiles — What makes reptiles so unique in the animal kingdom? Slither, crawl, and creep into the fascinating world of turtles, snakes, and amphibians with AARK Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center.
8/6, 6-7 pm:  Nature at Night: Animal Senses — Get up close and personal with animal ambassadors from Elmwood Park Zoo! In this engaging and interactive program, we will explore the five senses—sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch—and discover how animals use their senses in surprising ways.
8/13, 6-7 pm:  Nature at Night: Beaks, Feet & Feathers — What makes birds so perfectly suited to flight, foraging, and survival in diverse habitats? Join educators from Tri-State Bird Rescue for an engaging exploration of bird adaptations—from beaks and feet to feathers and flight patterns.
8/27, 7-8:15 pm:  Nature at Night: Bats! — Meet the Bats!
Join Pennsylvania Bat Rescue to learn more about bats, their habits, and how they are important to the health of our ecosystem.
Pre-registration is required.  
Please check in at the Visitor Center upon arrival.
