Dr. King once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: what are you doing for others?” By volunteering on this day, we will be giving back to our park, it’s users, the creek, and the plants and animals that rely on it to live. This year, we will be doing a clean-up beneath and around the recently re-opened bridges that connect Forbidden Drive to the paved bike path. Removing this litter will not only make this area of the park more beautiful, but it will keep our watershed healthier for all!
No experience is needed. We provide gloves, tools and instruction – you just need to show up! Volunteer service Days are excellent, easy ways to help us take care of Wissahickon Valley Park. Be sure to wear warm layers, and bring a water bottle with you. Snow or especially frigid temperatures will cancel this event.
Detailed information and the specific meeting location will be sent by email the day before the event. For more information contact Amelia Marren at [email protected]
