Make a Repurposed Art Patch (with Juicebox Workshop)
April 4 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Participants will create their own one-of-a-kind art patch that they can use to mend a hole, cover a stain, or bring new life to drab items.
With the guidance of Julie Woodard of Juicebox Workshop, and using fabric scraps and a needle and thread, participants will create their own one-of-a-kind art patch that they can use to later mend a hole, cover a stain, or bring new life to a drab item in their wardrobe. Basic familiarity with hand sewing is helpful, but not required. Attendees will develop and build their confidence with using a needle and thread, feel inspired to play with shape and color, and come away with a deepened sense of ownership and self-sufficiency over their clothing. Attendees are welcome to bring the item of clothing they’d like to patch, but may also choose to select that item and attach the patch at a later date.
