Wyck is a National Historic Landmark house, garden, and farm in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia that served as the ancestral home to one Philadelphia family for nine generations (1690-1973). Wyck’s rose garden dates back to the 1820s and is widely recognized as the oldest rose garden in America, with 50+ cultivars of historic roses representing many chapters in American history. Included in the garden are original roses from the 19th century design, as well as plants from its earlier iteration as an 18th century kitchen garden. Today it stands as an authentic archetype of an early colonial American rose garden. Come enjoy the rose garden at peak bloom with a guided tour of the garden and landscape by Emily Conn, Wyck horticulturist and manager of living collections. Meet at 6026 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19144
