Led by Jennie Kelly, Program Coordinator at the Haverford College Arboretum, and presented by Morris Arboretum & Gardens.
Join us for a walking tour of Haverford College Arboretum, the oldest planned collegiate landscape in the nation. Dating back to 1834, this 216-acre property is home to a premier collection of historical trees, a sustainable farm, rain gardens, pollinator habitats, and more! This behind-the-scenes tour will feature highlights of our collection. Located right off of the Main Line and nestled in Philadelphia’s suburbs, the Arboretum is a significant green space that provides abundant tree canopy and recreational space to the community. Wear good walking shoes, bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. We will meet at Haverford College; directions will be emailed prior to class.
