Foraged Color: Dyeing with native and invasive plants with Caitlin Nolan

Participants will get hands on experience using fruit tree bark and Shibori resist techniques to dye a scarf!

Come to Caitlin Nolan of Philly Dye Club’s farm in New Jersey, to get hands on experience using fruit tree bark and Shibori resist techniques to dye a scarf. We will discuss the methods and ethics and implications of foraging different dye stuffs. Participants will be provided with a unique hyper local guide to foraging dyestuffs in the greater philadelphia area.

If you are unable to secure a ride, please reach out to [email protected] to coordinate driving over with Dye Club members or DVAA Staff.

When registering, if it’s within your means, please consider a donation when registering through Eventbrite to help us cover the expenses of this workshop. The cost to run this workshop works out to be $20 per person.

This workshop will have enough materials available for 15 people. If you register to attend, please be mindful we are purchasing supplies for you. If you can no longer come, even if it’s the day of, please let us know so we can open your seat for someone else to be able to use the purchased materials.
