Join Feminist Bird Club Philly on Saturday, June 14 at 8am for a bird outing at Tacony Creek Park. We’ll be looking for breeding activity, learning about the PA Bird Atlas, and hopefully seeing some goofy fledglings! We’ll be starting near Friends Hospital which has parking, public transit access, and restrooms.
We are capping this event at 35 people. If you’d like to join, please fill out the interest form. We will close this form once it’s full, and email you with event details and the meeting place on the day before the event. Make sure to fill out the form for each person who would like to come.
We will plan to stay out for 2-3 hours and will be traveling primarily on paved surfaces with very slight inclines. Everyone is welcome to stay for as long or as short a time as you like. There are restrooms near the starting point. We’ll have extra binoculars for those who would like to borrow them. Check the weather ahead of the trip and dress for comfort.
At FBC Philly events, everyone must be respectful of one another. This includes being considerate of new birders, acknowledging an individual’s pronouns, and rejecting any racist, sexist, ableist, classist, homophobic, transphobic, sizeist, or xenophobic behaviors. Everyone is welcome, including people of all gender identities.
