FOR ADULTS AND TEENS AGES 15-17

We will be hiking out with guide David Eberly to see owls in the Pinetum, as well as some areas outside the deer exclusion fence. We’ll be on the lookout for Great Horned, Screech, and Barred Owls. Less likely but always possible are Saw-whet and Long-eared owls. If the weather cooperates, we will be treated to the sunset, followed by a star-filled sky. Listening to owls calling in the starlight is an experience not to be missed.

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Registration closes by 3 pm, so be sure to register on time!

This program starts after Tyler’s regular hours. Gates will open at 4:45 pm and close promptly at 5:10 pm, so please be on time. The group will meet on the Visitor Center Patio. Intended for all-level birders and owl enthusiasts. Rain or shine. Please wear layers and have appropriate hiking shoes or boots for wet conditions. Bring hiking sticks to assist in challenging terrain. Pack water and a snack. 

MEMBERS: Adults: $5 each; Teens ages 15-17 (teens must be accompanied by an adult): $3 each (sign in for your discount!)

NON-MEMBERS: Adults: $12 each; Teens ages 15-17 (teens must be accompanied by an adult): $7 each

GUEST PASS HOLDERS: (for non-member use only) Adult guests: $5 each; Teen guests (teens must be accompanied by an adult): $3 each. Please give the Visitor Center Associate your guest pass at check-in.
