Drop in and Dye: Plant Based Natural Dye
Drop in and Dye – Plant-Baed Natural Dye Workshop, from 12 pm – 4 pm. Work with plant-based immersion dyeing and bundle dyeing. All dye materials and 16 x 16 cotton textiles are provided..
Add on a BYO dye item or make a larger cotton scarf textile. BYO jars to take home dyes.
Workshop facilitator Bonnie MacAllister has taught embroidery at Al Bustan Seeds of Culture, botanical shibori dyeing at the Barnes Foundation, felting at the National Liberty Museum, and botanical bundle dyeing with wildflowers at the University of Pennsylvania 40th Street Artist-In-Residence (AIR) Program. She is a second year resident at Cherry Street Pier.
