Healing revival walks revived

Start

The Olney Culture Lab is bringing back its Revival Walk series in Tacony Creek Park this summer. The walks, created by dance artist and activist Lela Aisha Jones as a healing outlet during the pandemic, will be hosted by storyteller Mama Carla Wiley and special guest artists, including poets, drummers, dancers, and storytellers.

According to the Culture Lab’s materials, “Mama Carla will share stories illuminating our place in community with one another and with our natural environment. Additional artists will bring movement and music to add breadth and depth to the holistic engagement.” Walk participants will also pick up trash along the route.

The walks will run from May 14 to October 8.
