No Country for Mothers Screening

True statement: In Pennsylvania, it is illegal to separate a puppy from its mother before 8 weeks of age. Yet 1 in 4 women return to work within just 10 days of giving birth because they can’t afford not to.
Join us for an evening featuring excerpts from the new documentary No Country for Mothers, followed by a live conversation with Reshma Saujani (lawyer, bestselling author, activist, and founder of Girls Who Code and Moms First.)
Together, we’ll explore the culture wars surrounding American motherhood and why so many families lack the support they need. The film reveals that what many women experience isn’t personal failure – it’s the result of systems that were never designed to support families.
The evening concludes with a conversation led by The Fund for Women and Girls, connecting the film’s themes to what’s happening locally and exploring opportunities for change.
Come join us, share your experience and be part of the solution.
This event is free and open to everyone. Registration is required.
