Free Gravestone Restoration Workshop | Atlas Preservation 48 State Tour
The Friends of Mount Moriah Cemetery are excited to welcome Atlas Preservation to the cemetery as part of the 48 State Tour, a nationwide initiative bringing professional monument restoration expertise to historic burial grounds across the country.
The workshop will be led by Atlas Preservation CEO Jonathan Appell and is completely free and open to the public. The day will include an overview of historic preservation principles, a professional demonstrations of safe gravestone cleaning techniques, and hands-on restoration work.
Whether you want to watch, listen, learn, or roll up your sleeves and help, everyone is welcome! No experience is necessary. Please bring water, a snack, and comfortable shoes. If you plan to participate in the hands-on work, wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty.
