Winter Gardening: Vegetable Seed Starting

FOR ADULTS AND YOUNG GARDENERS (AGES 10+)
If you’ve spent all winter dreaming of a vibrant and colorful heirloom vegetable garden but aren’t sure how to get started, this is the class for you!
Starting vegetable plants from seed can be a cost-effective way to get unique varieties into your home garden. This class, led by Lead Educator Erin Conway, will take you through the steps of how to start a few different kinds of popular vegetable seeds and send you home with some great tips and tricks to help you get started.
What to bring: Bring your own containers and any seeds you’re itching to get started. We’ll provide soil and some seeds of our own in this informative seed-starting workshop.
Where to meet: Check in at the Visitor Center, then enjoy a short, 5-minute walk to the Edible Garden Classroom. Please arrive early to allow time for the walk.
Join us for this final workshop in our winter gardening series to ensure you and your garden are ready for spring!
