Love Your Park Volunteer Service Day

Meeting north of the Thomas Mill Red Covered Bridge on Forbidden Drive
This location will require hiking up to .7 miles in from the available parking areas.
Please note that while there will not be bathroom access by the worksite, there are porta potties on Bells Mill Road available for use.
Would you like to be part of keeping Wissahickon Valley Park beautiful and sustainable? Then join us on this special stewardship day to celebrate the Love Your Park Fall Weekend at our planting site by the Red Covered Bridge!
We encourage attendees to work within their own comfort level, and we always strive to accommodate needs on an individual basis. With that being said, this service day may include the following activities:
• Planting: bending over, crouching/squatting, carrying up to 20 lbs
• Invasive plant removal: bending over, raking
• Repetitive motions
We provide gloves, tools, and instruction–you just need to show up! Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and long pants, and remember to bring water with you.
