Raise your awareness of Delaware County’s changing ecology through this unique walking tour of Tyler Arboretum’s natural landscapes. Soak up Tyler Docent and PA Master-Naturalist-in-training Woody Kotch’s deep knowledge of the history and future of our shared local ecology. Examine the intersections of nature and history in an age of climate change.
About your guide: Since retiring from Penn Dental Medicine, Dr. Woody Kotch has reignited his passion for the natural world. Through training at Tyler, the PA Master Naturalist program, the Xerces Society Ambassador Training, and his own research, he developed new tours for Tyler, blending environmental science and history. Woody is dedicated to sharing his excitement for nature and raising awareness about our changing environment.
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Check-in at the Visitor Center, where you’ll meet your guide. This leisurely-paced tour will cover roughly two miles, with changes in grade and walking surface, including pavement, grass, and gravel. Sturdy shoes with good tread and a refillable water bottle are recommended.
MEMBERS (sign in for your discount!): FREE
NON-MEMBERS: FREE with admission: Adult: $18 each; Senior: $15 each; Teens ages 12-17: $10 each. A registered adult must accompany all teens. Feel free to stay for the day after the program!
GUEST PASS HOLDERS (for non-members only): FREE. All guests must either submit guest passes at check-in or be accompanied by a Family Plus or above Tyler Member.
