Aquamation & Conversation at Laurel Hill
Join us for an evening of networking and learning as Green Philly embarks on a remarkable journey to the Aquamation Center at Laurel Hill West. The Tour will be followed by conversation and wine and cheese.
Aquamation, also known as Alkaline Hydrolysis, is a gentle, eco-friendly, and water-based (flameless) process. Laurel Hill’s Aquamation Center uses a combination of water flow, temperature, and alkalinity to accelerate nature’s process. It releases no greenhouse gases and has only 10 percent of the carbon footprint with no mercury emissions into the atmosphere. This process is 95 percent water and 5 percent alkali (the chemical opposite of an acid).
The tour will start promptly at 6 PM, so please arrive on time.
Join us for a reception and conversation about Laurel Hill’s sustainable practices and Philadelphia Water for how green stormwater Infrastructure is transforming the city’s landscape. (Speakers to be announced soon.)
