Join Riverfront North Partnership and the City of Philadelphia in a celebration of the new K&T2 Trail extension. The trail will now connect three riverfront parks on the Delaware River in Philadelphia – the Frankford Boat Launch, Lardner’s Point Park, and the Tacony Boat Launch!
The event will start at Lardner’s Point Park, located at the base of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, and the ceremony will take place on the trail at Magee Avenue, which is about .25 miles north of the park.
Joining the celebration will be City officials, Senator Jimmy Dillon, Rep. Joe Hohenstein, Rep. Pat Gallagher, Councilmember Mike Driscoll, representatives from Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and the Department of Streets, Jane Golden from Mural Arts, and more.
Free parking at the Levick Street entrance lot, with overflow parking on Devereux Street. The trail is ADA accessible.
The K&T Trail is part of the 11-mile North Delaware River Greenway that Riverfront North Partnership helps to create, activate and steward with the City of Philadelphia. The K&T is one of the last three segments needed to complete a continuous river trail that connects eight public parks. It is part of the Circuit Trails and East Coast Greenway.
This project has been brought to fruition by City of Philadelphia Department of Streets; Philadelphia Office of Transportation, Infrastructure and Sustainability; Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation; Pennsylvania Department of Transportation; and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission.
