This hike is a part of our All Trails Challenge (ATC) hike series, presented by Newrez LLC, geared for Challengers to rack up miles and explore different areas of the park on each hike. Join us for all 15 parts and you’re well on your way to hitting all 50+ miles of trails in Wissahickon Valley Park. Not a Challenger? No problem. This hike is open to the public. Chill your vibe with mostly flat going and lots of Houston Meadow trails as you travel this trail circuit.

Did you know we have over 50 miles of trails weaving their way through Wissahickon Valley Park? It takes a lot of work to keep them in good shape for our many park user groups! Our trained Crew Leaders are the primary corps of volunteers to look after them, working together in small groups of Zone Stewards in different sections of the park. Then join us for a variety of stewardship projects! All are welcome to attend, and no experience is needed. We encourage attendees to work within their own comfort level, and we always strive to accommodate needs on an individual basis. With that being said, this service day may include the following activities: • Planting: bending over, crouching/squatting, carrying up to 20 lbs • Invasive plant removal: bending over, using long handled tools • Litter clean-up •
