Take a break from your desk and reconnect with the natural world — right in the middle of your workday. Join us for Nature at Noon, a new series of accessible lunchtime nature outings in and around Center City Philadelphia. Nature at Noon is designed to bring joy, inclusion and curiosity to your lunch hour. These one-hour outdoor gatherings center accessibility, biodiversity, safety and connection — with programming that bridges science, art and community. Inspired by the work of In Color Birding Club, Feminist Bird Club, Philly Queer Birders, PCAS Adaptive Birders and Disability Pride PA’s Outdoors for Everyone series,

Walnut St. West Library will have brand new circulating birding backpacks to trial as well. The Free Library, Philly Queer Birders, and The Woodlands will provide a limited number of adult & kid binoculars; BYO if you have them. • Yom Kippur Bird Walk

The Woodlands, 4000 Woodland Ave, Philadelphia

Join local nature enthusiast Bernard “Billy” Brown on an afternoon bird walk through The Woodlands. This is the perfect activity to enjoy before breaking your Yom Kippur fast, or a great opportunity to enjoy nature on a Monday afternoon. Meet Billy at the cemetery gates, and bring your own binoculars if you have them. A limited supply from The Woodlands will be available for those who need them.

  • Mulberry POPHarvest @ The Woodlands

The Woodlands, 4000 Woodland Ave, Philadelphia

Join us in harvesting this abundant and underappreciated city fruit at The Woodlands in West Philadelphia! Did you know that mulberries are actually the sweetest of all fruit? They pop up everywhere in the city and the more we can pick and eat the fewer new weed trees will result. Bring your own harvest bag or container and join us in Mulberry Magic!  Take home half of what you harvest and donate half to POP!
