An introduction to hand-weaving baskets at the Soapbox Community Print Shop & Zine Library.This is 3 consecutive Tuesdays from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.Workshop dates are May 13, 20, and 27.Weave your very own decorative and functional baskets! This basketry course will meet for 3 hours once a week for three weeks. Over this time, students will learn basic and intermediate twining techniques with round reed. We will cover how to start and finish off baskets, including closed and open bases, as well as shaping techniques to create volume.
