  • Murmuration & Migrations: Spring Bird Walk

    Celebrate the rhythms of spring as we explore the magic of birds on the move. During this guided walk led by our skilled Force of Nature volunteers, we’ll watch for migrating species, observe local birds as they prepare for nesting season, and take in the flutter of winged life returning to the landscape. The songbirds, raptors, waterfowl, and shorebirds—about 300 recorded species—that rely on habitats under Natural Lands care are not just beautiful but also essential to the health of our planet.   • Tales of Stroud Preserve: Then & Now

    Join current Preserve Manager Jill Sabre, past Preserve Manager Jack Stefferud, and Events Coordinator Tianna Godsey for a guided hike at Stroud Preserve. It’s a perfect chance to meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts and experience the preserve during one of its most vibrant seasons. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or just starting out, the trails offer a rewarding mix of terrain and scenery for everyone.  Along the way, we’ll pause at key spots to highlight notable features of the landscape and share how our land management practices support wildlife habitat while welcoming public exploration.

    Love nature and want to lend her a helping hand? Grab gloves and join fellow volunteers in removing invasives, nurturing native plants, or restoring habitat. Projects vary, but good fun (and dirt) is guaranteed! Natural Lands cares for more than 23,000 acres and 120 miles of trails, and we couldn’t do it without volunteers like you. Volunteering with Natural Lands is a great way to learn more about the natural world, give your time to a great cause, and connect with enthusiastic, like-minded people. The health and safety of staff and volunteers is our highest priority during this volunteer event.

  • Splish Splash!

    Come out and splash in Brandywine Creek! Squish in the mud, swish your toes in the water, and splash your friends. Kids and adults are invited to play in the stream, relax, and enjoy the last days of summer.  This event is made possible with generous support from    The Kulicke Fund.
