Beginning on its main commercial street, the sites of three historic buildings will be presented. Follow Ken along the streets and trails to learn the history of slavery in Pennsylvania and Kennett Square's first free Black community.Walking Artist, Ken Johnston, has traced Harriet Tubman's steps from Maryland to Canada. He recently embarked on a research journey of the history of slavery and freedom in southeastern Pennsylvania and the settlement of free Blacks in Kennett Square. Caution: hilly terrain.
