    Join us with your family and friends to adopt and plant trees at Riverbend. Spring is a wonderful time to plant trees, just as the preserve is coming back to life. Planting trees helps combat climate change and maintain our local water supply, as trees keep excess stormwater runoff from heading to the Schuylkill River watershed. Spend the morning with us at Riverbend enjoying: -Planting trees and learning about the trees that call Riverbend home -Playing tree-tastic games -Filling out an adoption certificate for the tree you planted -And participating in the Philadelphia City Nature Challenge BioBlitz!     Riverbend is proud to present our "Ants on a Log" family concert featuring the Philadelphia-based band Ants on a Log. Ants on a Log plays music for children and other childlike people. Their award-winning music centers on positivity, social justice, and silliness and has been featured widely in national media, serving as a soundtrack for social justice education and progressive parenting. Full of humor and harmony, Ants shows are energetic, interactive, and engaging for both children and adults. The family concert will occur on Riverbend’s preserve in our Outdoor Classroom space. Siblings under 2 are welcome at no additional charge. The cost is $120 per child for a six-week session. Enrollment is capped at 12 participants. The final meeting of every session will include a campfire and s’mores. The Spring Session 2024 will be offered on Wednesday Mornings:
