    Meeting at Pachella Fields (see map here) There is parking and porta potties available at the trailhead. This hike is a part of our All Trails Challenge (ATC) hike series, presented by Newrez LLC, geared for Challengers to rack up miles and explore different areas of the park on each hike. Join us for all 15 parts and you’re well on your way to hitting all 50+ miles of trails in Wissahickon Valley Park. Not a Challenger? No problem. This hike is open to the public. Starting at Salvatore Pachella Field, travel a fun five-mile loop on the Yellow Trail. Distance: 5.1

On this 3-mile loop, we will see a rarely visited cave, several iconic bridges, Devil’s Pool, Valley Green Inn, and many more Wissahickon treasures. Children are welcome on this hike, but please ensure that they will be able to manage a trek of this length on rocky and sometimes steep surfaces.     Meet at the Pachella Field Pavilion Join us as we take a 2.5 hour hike (~3 miles), visiting spots throughout the Wissachickon Valley Park that point to the history of the Wissachickon Creek and the creation of the park to protect the water, examples of the power of water in shaping and reshaping the park, and efforts to restore and preserve the watershed. Dogs on leash permitted. Distance: 3 miles Difficulty: Difficult Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations.  If you or anyone in your household are exhibiting COVID-19 systems,
